// About //

mobx.games is a (very) small German indie game studio. We make games we love to play ourselves! We hope you do too. If you have feedback, suggestions, or just want to get in touch, drop us a mail via the contact form below. We will respond quickly (if you're not a bot)!

What we make

Everything on this site runs straight in your browser, with no download and no account required. Three of the games are online multiplayer: Zone Command is a real-time strategy game of bases, tanks and drones, with a story campaign to play solo; Blob Volley is two-player volleyball with blobs; and Clash Of Stars is a space strategy game where your fleets take planets, alone against the computer or online against up to three players. Quick match finds you an opponent, and an invite link brings a friend straight into your match.

Moon Miner is a digging and upgrade loop: mine ore, sell it, improve your pod, go deeper. Jelly Heights is a match-3 puzzle game: match jelly toys to climb a toy tower floor by floor, against the clock. Cozy Fishing sends you past the fish on the way down and hooks them all on the way up, and plays here as well as on CrazyGames, where it launched. Void Daggers is a first-person arena survival shooter with sixteen enemy types, three bosses and five weapon tiers, and Void Clickers is an idle shooter set in the same neon wireframe universe. Deepwick drops you as a flame down a shaft of wax and rock, Fenny sends a desert fox over the dunes on a single button, and TrackBlitz is a time-attack racer on neon tracks, with multiplayer lobbies and a track editor.

One more is close: AISLE 7, a first-person horror game to play alone or in online co-op: five nights in one supermarket, one monster per night.

Beyond the browser

Several of the games on this site also ship to Steam, mobile and Discord. Void Daggers is on Steam, Moon Miner is on Google Play and the App Store with its Steam release coming, Fenny is on Google Play and the App Store, and Blob Volley is on Google Play. Zone Command, Blob Volley, Clash Of Stars and TrackBlitz also run as Discord Activities, right inside a voice channel.

How we build

Our web games are built with plain JavaScript and Three.js rather than a heavy engine, because a game that loads in a couple of seconds gets played and one that loads in thirty seconds does not. Much of the art and audio is generated procedurally or through our own asset pipelines, which is how a studio this size ships this many titles. Everything is designed to work on a phone as well as a desktop.

Questions people ask

What is mobx.games?

An instant-play games portal. Every game here runs in your browser the moment you click Play: nothing to download, nothing to install, no account needed. It carries our own games today and is built to host games from other developers too.

Who runs it?

We do: mobx.games, a very small independent studio in Bonn, Germany. We make the games, write the guides and answer the mail ourselves.

Is everything free?

Yes. Every game on mobx.games is free to play in your browser. Several also ship on Steam, Google Play or the App Store, and those store versions are linked from each game page.

Do I need an account?

No. You can play everything as a guest. If you want your progress, friends and leaderboard times to follow you across games and devices, you can sign in with your email; there is no password to invent.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Every game runs in a phone or tablet browser as well as on a desktop, with touch controls where the game needs them.

Can I play online against other people?

Yes. Zone Command, Blob Volley and Clash Of Stars are online multiplayer games: quick match pairs you with real players, and a lobby code or invite link brings a friend straight into your match. Each one also has a solo mode against the computer.

How often do new games arrive?

Regularly. Our own games ship here first, and each one gets a guide with controls, tips and the developer notes.

I make games. Can I get mine on mobx.games?

Yes, we would like to hear from you. Feel free to contact us through the form below to submit your game, and tell us what it is and where it runs.

Want to know more?

You can reach us about anything: feedback on a game, a bug you spotted, press, or business. We read every message ourselves and try to reply fast.
